ANGERS, France: The EU Agencies Network is organizing a conference in the European Parliament on 6-7 December 2016. The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) is delighted to participate in this conference, which will gather all 44 EU agencies and their stakeholders for an exchange with EU policymakers, civil society and other EU institutions.
The aim of the conference is to create awareness of the work carried out by the EU agencies, with a focus on their contribution to the implementation of EU policies, and to foster greater communication with a wider audience.
Speaking in advance of the conference, CPVO President Martin Ekvad said that “the CPVO looks forward to participating in this event. The Agencies Forum is an excellent opportunity to highlight the importance of PVRs and the work of the CPVO, not just to the stakeholders with whom we work closely, but also to EU citizens as a whole. Creating awareness of the work of the CPVO is crucial in order to increase engagement with citizens and awareness of PVRs and the challenges facing the field.”
The CPVO has invited key persons from the industry to contribute their account at the forum on the importance of having an EU agency in their sector.
