EDE, The Netherlands: The year 2016 has been excellent for Plantion so far. In the period up to and including week 28, Plantion’s revenue was almost 11% higher than in that same period in 2015. While both Plantion’s clock auction and green centre are performing well, the most remarkable aspect is the growth of the intermediation agency (+ 21.5%).
Plantion’s change of policy a few years ago (focusing on the sale of its own member’s products and investing in new customer relationships) is really starting to pay off for the mediation agency.
After stabilising in 2014 and modest growth in 2015, Plantion’s revenue from mediation is increasing rapidly this year. The clock auction continually draws in new buyers and its revenue is increasing compared to 2015, despite current pressure on prices. The revenue growth that Plantion’s green centre experienced last year also continues unabated.
This positive development in the company’s existing sales channels as well as the start of two new departments (the Plantion Digital Marketplace and Shopp-In) are very good to see. Plantion looks to the future with confidence and is investing in professionalising its organisation further. In line with this goal, the company recently appointed a new board member, and its ICT and Marketing & Communication departments will be expanding as of 1 September.
