MONROE, USA, September 24, 2012: USDA’s New England Agricultural Statistics Service is reporting that farm cash receipts for horticulture grew 2.6% last year over 2010 figures, to a total of $235 million. That places the green industry at 42% of Connecticut’s total farm cash receipts of $560 million. Which of the six New England states have the most agriculture in dollars? Surprise: Connecticut is third, outranked only by Vermont (first) and Maine (second).
