2008 has also seen its fair share of bankruptcies, with between 24 horticultural businesses declared bankrupt. But it looks like the fireworks aren’t over yet. CBS has released a study of the forward picture based on an analysis of macroeconomic trends and predicting that the economic shockwaves will ripple into 2010. The factual number of bankruptcies provides  a limited indication of the companies that closed their doors. Lots of companies close down before its too late from the financial point of view.
Nico van Ruiten of industry body LTO doesn’t see light at the end of the tunnel yet. “More companies will go into bankruptcy. I don’t expect any economic improvement for the moment”, he told the Dutch newspaper Volkskrant.
