MALMO, Sweden: Shortly after the introduction, it appears that the new set up of the FlowerSensation pavilion at the Nordic Flower Expo appeals. At this moment thirteen growers have applied and ten are having an option at a place within the floral presentation.
The Nordic Flower Expo will be held from 21-23 March 2017 in Malmö, Sweden. The goal of this event is to share information and inspiration, and to make the connection between people with a vision as far as the production and promotion of flowers is concerned.
Among the companies which have booked space are: MarginPar, Van der Lugt Lisianthus, Vreeken Bouvardia, Simply Calla, Your Lily, De Wit Nerine, Harry Wubbe Nerine, Viking Roses, Rijk de Jongh Ranonkels, Interplant Roses, Pulcher Orchids, Henk Sonneveld Hortensia and from Italy Dulbecco Flowers. They join forces with Nicolette Hooyman FlowerSense and The Floral Agency to inform and inspire florists in the Nordic countries with special and unique products.
The initiative to organize this event is born out of the fact that offer and demand often are not matching very well. Florists are eager to buy products of high quality which are unique or at least special, to be able to offer their customers something nice. It happens a lot that florists are not aware of the wide range of products simply because they are not presented to them and they do not know where to buy. To facilitate this proces the event will help getting the florist in direct contact with the growers.
The starting point is to show flowers in their ‘natural habitat’ within the interior: in vases and pots. The beauty of the flower itself will be emphasized; it will be a real sensation: a ‘FlowerSensation’. Fidrio and PTMD will be involved to be able to realise a nice ambiance.
During the expo, workshops will be organised by someone of the team of Per Benjamin, Sara-Lisa Ludvigsson, Tina Kjaer from Denemarken and Regine Motmans van FleurCréatif – Fleuramour. Thuesday the 21st of March two workshops will be organised by the team of Benjamin Botaniska Floristik Coaching. The workshops are practical but there is also room for theoretical topics like how to improve your sales. Check the website for the latest updates for application.
