AALSMEER, The Netherlands: The new T-hybrid rose variety ‘Chapeau’ is the newest variety of Bloomingdale Roses Kenya. Chapeau is available at the rose clock in Aalsmeer, starting Monday the 19th September.
With this new big budded rose variety, the assortment of Bloomingdale Roses covers 17 varieties at a nursery of 30 hectares in the Timau region, Kenya. A region at the slopes of Mount Kenya at an altitude of 2.450 metres above sea level.
Rose ‘Chapeau’ is a bi-coloured pink with cream coloured rose with flower buds of 5.5 cm. and more. Available in lengths from 50 to 70 cm. and available in lengths from 50 to 70 cm. Chapeau is a variety of breeder Jan Spek Rozen and has product code 117606. The vase life of Chapeau is at least 12-14 days.
Bloomingdale has, next to Chapeau, also the following range of large bud varieties T-hybrid roses in production: 3D, Altavista®, Athena, Belle Rose, Blush, Double Fashion, Duett, Eliza, Good Times, Madam Pink, Madam Red, Marie Claire, Mariyo! New Orleans, Nicoletta and Statue. The lengths of the roses vary from 40 to 100 cm. The in total 17 varieties of Bloomingdale Roses are from breeders Interplant, Jan Spek Rozen, Kordes, Nirp International, Preesman, Schreurs & United Selections.
