Georgian delegation arrives in Westland to fuel greenhouse horticulture

events_georgia_minister_danielaWESTLAND, The Netherlands: An official delegation from the Eastern European country of Georgia paid a visit to Westland on Monday July 4.

The business delegation was led by his excellency Mr Otar Danelia, Georgian minister of agriculture. The visit aimed to tighten cooperation and partnership between Georgia and The Netherlands in the field of greenhouse horticulture and create new links between stakeholders of both countries.

One of the highlights was the visit to tomato farm Lans Tomaten where expert guide Aad Verduijn of Westland Toerisme explained all the ins and outs of high tech greenhouse crop production. The day concluded with a visit to Hoogendoorn, a leading supplier of climate and automation solutions in horticulture. Here, Mr Daniela showed particular interest in the company’s climate control systems.

The visit provided the opportunity for all attendees to gain greater knowledge of the crucial facts concerning Westland’s economy.
