ESSEN, Germany: With the Landgard initiative “Flowers – 1,000 Good Reasons”, Messe Essen is confirming another exhibitor at the hortivation trade fair which will take place for the first time in June.
Landgard launched the campaign in 2015 to address new and existing classes of purchasers via the most diverse channels and literally offers them 1,000 good reasons for purchasing flowers and plants. Since the start at IPM ESSEN 2015, the numerous measures have achieved an overall scope of over 220 million contacts. The initiative will use hortivation in order to introduce the latest measures and thus to win over potential new supporters, too.
The latest measures will feature numerous ideas for trade visitors which will attract attention at their own points of sale, including numerous advertising materials for specialised traders right up to free truck stickers.
In this respect, Armin Rehberg, General Manager of Landgard, sees the appearance at the fair as an important opportunity to make the extensive activities known even further within the sector, too. “With our activities relating to all aspects of ‘Flowers – 1,000 Good Reasons’, we are taking up a trailblazer role within the sector. We are open for further partners and supporters in order to attain our aims of stabilising the sales of green products in the long term, too, and creating the largest community for flowers and plants. We are glad to have now won over Messe Essen, too, as an important cooperation partner. Together, we will thus open up new sales and marketing possibilities for the sector.”

Landgard presented “Flowers – 1,000 Good Reasons” for the first time at IPM ESSEN 2015, the world’s premier horticultural fair. Since then, the campaign has been generating attention for green products across different media. On Facebook alone, “1,000 Good Reasons” has almost 32,000 fans in the meantime. The campaign uses all the possibilities of the digital and classic media in order to create fresh purchasing occasions for green products and thus goes hand in hand with the objective of hortivation.
From June 13 to 15, hortivation by IPM ESSEN will take place at Messe Kalkar, in the heart of one of the most important horticultural regions in Europe.
