MIAMI, USA: The Miami Herald offered a behind-the-scenes look at the Miami-based Flora Logistics last week. According to the company’s director of sales and marketing Linda Nunez, Flora Logistics is strictly a third-party logistics company specialised in handling shipments of cut flowers that arrive at Miami.
Nunez explained the newspaper that during most of the year flowers remain their core business, but today they have expanded their business to include fresh produce, dairy and meat.
In the run up to floral holidays such as Valentine’s Day flowers comprise the biggest portion (80%) of their business.
