AALSMEER, Netherlands: Aalsmeer-based cut foliage experts Wiba Greens B.V. and Eurose & Greens B.V. today announced they will merge their companies into a single new organisation as of February 1st, 2015.
The final goal of the merger is to create one of the most competitive and innovative companies in the European cut foliage industry.
Both companies are divisions of the WBE-group. Merging them into a single organisation not only creates synergy but also leads to important cost reduction while benefiting from joint purchasing power and shared expertise.
Marco Storm and Bas Verdoes will supervise the day-to-day operations of Eurose & Greens B.V., while Peter Baak will continue in his role as managing director of the WBE group.
Combining Wiba Greens B.V. and Eurose & Greens B.V. is a prime example of a business-as-usual merger, with customers being unaffected and premises and people remaining unchanged.
Cut foliage is used to add structure to flower bouquets. The WBE group, employing 170 people and present at the flower auctions in Rijnsburg, Naaldwijk, Aalsmeer and Herongen, sources a wide range of cut foliage products from carefully selected growers from all corners of the world.
