AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands, September 18, 2012: Horti Fair’s daily floral fashion show promises to be even more spectacular this year than it was in 2011.
A number of dresses made entirely from flowers and plants and themed on the earth’s continents are being designed especially for the Horti Fair by Israeli floral artist Shlomi Ilani. The Flower Catwalk can be seen every day in the floriculture hall of the Horti Fair.
The Horti Fair is the biggest international trade show for Technology, Innovation and Inspiration in Horticulture and it is taking place in the Amsterdam RAI from 30 October to 2 November inclusive this year. An expected 550 companies will take part in the event.
The Horti Fair introduced the Flower Catwalk in 2011. The fashion show was put on in the floriculture hall at the fair several times a day. Many thousands of visitors at the Horti Fair came to take a look and to photograph the creations by designer Diny Blom, making the Flower Catwalk one of the visual highlights of the horticultural trade fair.
The huge success of the Flower Catwalk will have a sequel this year. The fashion show will again be taking place 4 times a day on every day of the fair. This year’s designer of choice is Shlomi Ilani from Zer4U (www.zer4uevents.co.il). The creations of this renowned Israeli floral artist will consist entirely of flowers and plants and have the earth’s continents as their theme.
The Flower Catwalk is again being sponsored by a number of exhibitors this year, viz. floricultural companies De Ruiter, Fides, HilverdaKooij, Corn. Bak and Anthura.
