Twenty-six different spring-flowering bulbs were selected. These dry bulbs, which include various tulip cultivars, daffodils, crocuses, hyacinths and grape hyacinths, will be ready for delivery by mid-August. They will be sold in eye-catching ‘bulb cups’: exclusive, moisture resistant, attractive consumer (gift) packaging produced in Decorum’s house style. By the beginning of 2010, the collection will be expanded to include an exclusive line of summer-flowering bulbs.
To ensure the daily delivery of high-quality, freshly packed flower bulbs (including smaller quantities) to European locations, a super-fast international plant distribution system will be employed. The new bulb packaging – in planting trays – was designed to accommodate transport using Danish containers and trolleys. This gives purchasers an advantage when it comes to flexibility, logistics, quality and costs. Sales and distribution to the Decorum dealers (export companies) will be made through L.G. Vreugdenhil & Zn.
For immediate use on the shop floor, Decorum developed two different displays: a wheeled display holding 144 bulb cups (26 different kinds of spring-flowering bulbs) and a pallet display holding 120 bulb cups.
